Looking for jobs

Looking for jobs

I started looking for jobs within both stop motion and 2D animation.  I am specialising in stop motion but feel I know enough about flash to maybe get some intern

Northern Ireland isn't too fare away.  The only problem is that this was posted on July 22.  Think this one may have gone.  Would be prepared to travel for work if the money was good.  Maybe not so much if I had kids.
This could be a great gig not for regular work but as a nice income.  It would allow me to employ both stop frame and 2D animation for video
I think that I really want to try and work some flash animation work into my stop motion to keep on improving my knowledge of flash.  Also look more at toon boom animation programs.

My inspirational artist is Nick Park.

My inspirational artist is Nick Park.
And why Nick park I hear you say.  Because when most of you were not even a twinkle in you mum and dads I was watching Wallace and Gromit grand day out.  Back in the day when you could still watch Wallace and Gromit on the BBC.  This Nick Park started back when he was at the National film and television school but later finish working on it part time while working for aardman.
A Grand day out won the BAFTA for best animated film in 1990 which beat creature comforts in the same category.  Though creature comforts bested a grand day out at the Oscars.  You don't see Nick Park complaining as he was the driving creative force for both animation.

Creature comforts a project for lip synch.  5 minute films  commissioned by channel 4 to explore real characters mixed with there voices.  Creature comforts has been called one of the greatest animated films of all time.

The characters of Wallace and Gromit are amazingly animated with Wallace being a craze English inventor who love cheese.  You wont see that in anything else as is just so British.  And Gromit with no dialogue but beautifully animated showing so much emotion with just his eye, eye brow and arms.

Nick Park is a great fan of beano drawing from it for some of his inspiration like in the wrong trousers, with the winding street that Wallace walks around into the distance.  The clay animation which Nick park has traditionally used isn't the easiest to animate, and Wallace and Gromit have come a long way since those early day.

Even though Aardman were an imagining animation company with the likes of morph I would say that with Nick Park they Wouldn't have been as successful.  Without Nick Park they could still be around in today market but wouldn't have been so well know throughout the world.  Nick Park is also a great example of what you can achieve with a little imagination and a lot of hard work.

Wonder how to tutorial

Found this video on wonder how to. There lots of stop motion tutorial on this site that should be able to answer my questions. It should prove helpful over the summer when doing test for stop motion.
This could be handy in the future for making eyes. Though time may not allow me make this kind of detail. It could be easier just to buy the eyes.

This kind of mould with armature like the tigyer short puppet would look nice for animals in the animation. Would need to do some test just encase it's not too easy to animate. though if I could animate animal in the animation that could be different to all the other animation shorts that have been by level 6.

Awesome animated animation

Found this in animation in process. It's A short file by Guilherme Marcondes using both puppetry and computer animation.

Stop motion test

This is one of the test I did for the bird that Kieran had ask me to do. I want to specialize in stop motion next year and decide to do the animation with stop motion.

Awesome stop motion advertisment

Like the style of these animations. Must look into how they were made. I know for the Bruce Lee animation they used a rig to help him fly in the air.

Research for creating stop motion animation

Looking for tutorial on stop motion animation.

This is something that I should have know already. Need to look into getting some god light for animating with. They have more videos for stop motion on youtube.

Here two nice tutorials on to to go about making puppet for stop motion animation. They do have more videos on youtube and publish a magazine too.

I would like to specialize in replacement animation if I was t work in stop motion. Creating animation that to me look more professional than clay that can be done good and looks great. Replacement animation needs more planning out than clay but that what gives it, it's smoother look.

When I first seen this I thought that it was going to be a tutorial on how to make a rig for stop motion animation. That would help to stop my puppet moving around when I'm animating them.
